Get on the Offense!
Ideas and Initiatives to REALLY Beat Low Priced Competitors
Join us for a Webinar on Wednesday, February 22, 2012
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm EST
Sponsored By:

Presenter: Don Murphy, Hudson Valley Gold’s Gyms
This engaging presentation will take you through several strategies and initiatives implemented by the Hudson Valley Gold’s Gym Organization (HVGG). During their 4-year battle against 5 Planet Fitness locations and other local competitors, HVGG has implemented new ideas and approaches to their business. Learn firsthand about initiatives that will enable you to get on the offense and become PRO-ACTIVE in the approach to your Gold’s Gym business. These ideas will enable you to truly increase the VALUE of your Gold’s Gym offering in your markets during 2012, rather than simply reacting in a defensive mode to what the competition is doing around them.
Avoid the price war and learn new ways to increase the value of your Gold’s Gym offering. The following will be presented in detail:
1. The development of a universal value proposition for your staff (i.e. how do you or YOUR staff respond when someone asks, “Why should I pay a bit more to join Gold’s Gym?”). This will include an easy-to-understand value proposition and comparison chart for prospective members.
2. HVGG’s introduction of a two-tiered monthly payment plan, and elimination of long term contracts.
3. A cancellation policy that leaves exiting members delighted with your service, assuring their future return.
4. Development of a Gold’s Gym alumni program (for cancelled members).
5. Enhanced focus on new member assessments with “Fitness Coaches” (a new role recently developed by HVGG in their organization).
6. Amazing outreach – The Gold’s Gym Perx program, expanding the privileges of a Gold’s Gym membership to other businesses in your community.
7. Ready-Set-Gold’s, the new member education program that received the award for “Best Member On-Boarding” in 2010.
